• Notes

  As of 2017, not much is known about Jacob Koenig. He was listed as the father on the death records for both Gottlieb and Elizabeth Koenig. The death record for Elizabeth also listed Katherine Seigfried as her mother, however because of the age difference between Gottlieb and Elizabeth, it is possible they had different mothers. Gottlieb's daughter, Nathalia, wrote that her Father had two sisters and one brother. We also know that Gottlieb and family emigrated from Kronental, N Caucasus, Russia. Kronental was a daughter colony of the main colony 'Belowesch', which was estaqblished in 1766/7 by families mainly from Hessen area in Germany.
