Later he bought the Ed Fischer farm 8 miles west of town. The boys went to Rodney school along with cousins. Elma remembered the boys coming to the house asking to see the new baby when Eddie was born in Dec 1927. They farmed with sulky plows, drills, cultivators and harrows.
