The village of Bortscheag was built around a former manor house and existed with church and school for the inhabitants and was about 6 km NE of the German villages of Albota and Sofiewka, where many of the inhabitants of Bortscheag moved and bought land. Ferdinand Ohlhausen was a teacher and also part time Pastor and lived in Bortscheag before moving his family to Albota |
